Abstract:

This paper analyzes the characteristics of the engineering geology and the exploiting technology of Donghui coalfield, which is covered by huge thick loose sediments. It comprises six minable coal beds, dipping gently, good quality. The coal is low ash, low sulfur, high calorie, low gas nonstick and coking coal, good for civil and power application. The coalbearing sequence mainly belongs the debris sedimentary rock, stratified, intensity varying with depth. Its lithology is complicated and structure is developed. Weathering and fissures are moderate. The main, auxiliary and ventilation shafts can be built in accordance with gelation method in the loose sediments and general method in the base rock, which can be a large coal mine with 12×10⁵ t/a. This paper classifies the exploration category of engineering geology, which provides reference for next shaft designing.
