This paper, based on the environmental issues of sustainable development of mining industry in Aletai area, Xinjiang, gives some suggestions developing recycling economy, enhancing ecological civilization, establishing resources-saving and environment-friendly society, and presents some approaches to mining industry development and environmental protection.
