This paper uses input/output theory and structural decomposition to analyze the dynamic evolution and mechanism of energy consumption before and after financial crisis in Guangdong province. The reason in energy consumption increment in Guangzhou province mainly lies in economic growth and population size, and it had been slowing down after financial crisis due to a declining energy consumption intensity, adjusting final demand structure and improving producing structure. Internal exports are the major driving force contributes to the energy consumption increment, largely impacted by gross fixed assets and urban resident consumption after financial crisis. Input/output analysis reveals that domestic transfer in contributing to the gross energy consumption reduction is outstandingly less international imports.

his paper, through setting up Tapio abjunction model, studies the abjunction relation between economy and carbon dioxide emission in Xinjiang during 1990-2010,analyzes its temporal evolution, by means of IPAT model and Structure Decomposition Analysis (SDA), discusses its drives from gross carbon emission and energy strength. The result indicates a weak abjunction and expansion connecting between economy and carbon dioxide emission. The major drive of carbon dioxide emission is scale effect. Technical innovation in decreasing carbon dioxide emission strength is a vital tool in abjunction between economy and carbon dioxide emission, but can not be regarded as the sole means in saving energy.
