The Jinshan gold deposit, located in Yining county, Xinjiang, is a large gold deposit in exploration, belongs to the epithermal type. The gold ore deposit occurs in the lower Dahalajunshan formation volcanics, early Carboniferous. The orehosting sequence has been formed into hydro thermal breccia due to the thermal alteration and structural brecciation. The ore bodies display as stratal with transition to their wall rocks. Ores are of breccia, disseminated, and network structures. The ore minerals include pyrite (major), and natural gold, silverbearing natural gold; and the gangue mineral include quartz (major), barite, dickite, kaolin and sericite. The alteration includes silification, pyritization, kaolinization, chloritization and carbonitization. The ore bodies are defined by NW and SNorientated faults, unconformity faces and thermal breccia together.
