Abstract:

This paper gives an introduction to the global platinum group metals resource, supply-demand status of Pt, Pd and Rh, and their consumption structure changes, and analyzes strategy and approaches to China＇s platinum group metals industry. The global financial crisis led to a big fall in Pt, Pd and Rh supply and demand, meaning a change in consumption structure. However, as the global economy recovers, this situation goes better. Approaches to China＇s platinum group metal supplydemand conflict lie in technological development and establishing management system, which can ensure a sustainable development of platinum group metals resource and industry.
