Abstract:

This paper applies regional economic theory and SCP theory of industrial economics to analyze the market structures of the mining industry, focusing on oil & gas, coal, ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and non-metallic industry in 12 provinces in western China, concludes that the concentration in coal, ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals and non-metallic industries is relatively low with a small entry barrier, the concentration in oil-gas industry is high with big entry barrier, the products in this five industries display a low differentiation, monopolization and competition are coexisting in mining industry in low-level disorder. This paper presents approaches to mining industry concentration and efficiency of the mining units.

摘要：

本文运用区域经济学理论和产业经济学中的SCP分析框架理论，对我国西部12个省(自治区、直辖市)矿业的石油天然气、煤炭、黑色金属、有色及非金属五大行业的产业市场结构进行分析评价。结论是煤炭、黑色金属、有色及非金属产业的集中度相对较低、进入壁垒低；石油天然气产业集中度高、进入壁垒高；五大行业产品差别化低；西部地区矿业产业处于垄断与竞争共存，低端无序竞争激烈的市场结构。相应提出加快西部矿业集中度、提高矿业产业效益的对策建议。
