    The vast emission of carbon dioxide worsens aggravates greenhouse effect globally. A low carbon world is a necessity. This paper applies Kuznets curve to study their correlation and influence between carbon emission and GDP per capita in Urumqi during 1998 to 2012, and finds that carbon emission is closely related to GDP, up to 0992, rising with GDP, far to reach the environmental Kuznets curve inflection. Kuznets curve shows a “N” shape indicating a higher energy consumption at a high environmental cost. In order to implement Urumqis “12th fiveyearplan” and to reach low carbon urban construction and national civilized urban construction, Urumqi shall be developing economy and be focusing on energy saving and environmental improvement to reach a green development.

    Huangshi as a typical resourcesexhausted city steps into a dilemma. The ecological footprint model can quantitatively mark the pressure and impact of humans activities on natural environment. This paper, based on a case study on Huangshi during 2010 to 2012, measures its ecological footprint, which climbed up to 3.7045hm2 in 2012 from 2.80535hm2 in 2010.The ecological loading capacity per capita rose to 0.3508hm2 in 2012 from 0.33795 hm2 in 2010, meaning a severe ecological deficit, which is analyzed of its causes. This paper presents approaches to Huangshi's sustainable development.

    It is necessary to consolidate the concepts,content and diversified objectives in urban transformation study so as to clarify its framework and structure. This paper uses bibliometrics, through CNKI database 2000—2012's core articles,to analyze research papers,force and hot spots.Urban transformation involves many subjects,and have not formed research groups.Urban economic transformation is a focus.Four major research aspects include resourcesbased city, sustainable development,developed region city transformation and urban cultural transformation which is a hot spot.Urban transformation research focuses more on macroscopic, less on microscopic, more on case study,less on system,more on description,less on quantization,lacking evaluation of urban development path and effects.

    Coal pricing mechanism efficiency is related not only to the optimized allocation of coal resource, but also to the overall sustainable use of coal resource and economic society. This paper constructs an evaluation system of coal pricing mechanism efficiency from development, equality and competition, including eleven indexes, which is used to evaluate its efficiency, analyzes the advances and shorts in coal pricing mechanism reform, and outlooks the future path. An efficient coal pricing mechanism intensifies market pricing of coal and empowers coal pricing mechanism largely from sustainable use, fair use and environmental optimization.

    Japan depends highly upon oversea metallic resources.Its success in exploration mechanism is of references to China.     REE phosphate fertilizer is produced from phosphate material with added REE. Phosphate ore in Zhijin, Guizhou province, abounds in REE, but too hard to be recovered by normal processing. This paper, attempting at the feasibility of this phosphate ore to be used for producing REE phosphate fertilizer without adding other REE, reviews the processing technology of phosphate fertilizer, and evaluates the feasibility from REE occurrence, composition, content and radioactivity, which are all consistent with the requirements of REE phosphate fertilizer production. Radioactivity is less than standard 500Bq/kg, and the total content is 0.2%, means the ore fits for producing lowREE fertilizer. This paper theoretically verifies the feasibility of REEbearing phosphate ore can be directly used for production of REE phosphate fertilizer.

    Heavy oil reservoir, very viscous, is difficult to be pumped after producing due to a descending oil saturation and low yield around the well; however, its production can be restored after stopping production for a period when a dynamic balance makes the remaining oil migrate to the well. A production test was made in Henan oil field with an excellent result. This paper applies orthogonal test and modelling to analyze the concentrating remaining oil in different geological conditions. Through extreme difference, geological factors related to heavy oil concentration ranks in order, crude oil viscosity, permeability, thickness ratio, porosity, oilbearing bed thickness, reservoir depth, reservoir dip, which is also verified by variance analysis. This method helped restoration of 15 wells at a 80% of success in Henan oil field, which provides references for reproduction of the old wells in the east.

    Qinghai is a mineral resource province, but imbalanced in its mines distribution and different developing levels in minerals and regions. This paper uses system clustering to analyze its minerals from 18 commodities and regions. Coal, oil, gas, potash, brickused clay and construction sand and others are separated categories in a range of 0.57 clustering distance. In a range of 0.7~1.4, iron, lithium and copper are one category, gold and lead are one, nickel, zinc, chrome and manganese are one among 9 metals. In a range of 0.4184-0.6560, mining developing level in regions can be clustered into 3 categories, Haixi and Haidong, Xining and Haibei, Hainan, Huangnan, Yushu & Guoluo. This paper also gives suggestions for developing minerals in different regions.

    This paper, aiming at the measurement of scarcity of nonrenewable resources, sets up a quantization model for scarcity from remaining resources, risks and technology, of which the remaining resources scarcity is measured by "exhausted degree" (consider the future consumption and reserve change), risks scarcity by outer dependence, import concentration, and locality political factors, technology scarcity by selfcontrolled processing. This model is comprehensive, standard (range 0 to 1), and comparable, handy to compare among different resources.

    This paper, based on the advances of mineral resources evaluation index, establishes a comprehensive evaluation index system for Qarhan salt lake including social and economic developing level, resource and environmental protection, resources development and use level and intelligence supporting level. Case study is applied by multiple fussy comprehensive method on Qarhan salt lake. The result indicates that its sustainable development and use level is between traditional to weak sustainability during 2000 to 2005, and between weak to preliminary during 2010, which is consistent with Qarhan salt lakes situation and verifies the validation and operation of the established index system.

    Network opinion is a direct reflection of social opinion. Network as a new media develops fast and enters people's daily lives. Geological survey contributes a lot to economy, and attracts more attention from public. Milestones in sourcing ore become hot spot in network. Public opinion on geological survey shall be mastered to make a quick response to outbreaks. This paper, based on China's public opinion on geological survey in 2013, studies the spreading rules, distribution domains, hot spots and future propagating trend, offering information for geological researchers and administrations.

    Ecological footprint is an effective evaluation for sustainable development. This paper introduces the contents, research advances and measurement of ecological footprint, and calculates Linzhis ecological footprint and ecological loading capacity, and concludes that Linzhi area is always in an ecological excess, but with a descending ecological laoding capacity, from 9.39 hm2 in 2006 to 8.84 hm2 in 2010 at a rate of 5.9%. The ecological footprint has a falling trend in fluctuation, close to 3 hm2, which impacts the ecological environment compared with China's average, so does the overall excess. Linzhi's ecology shall be paid attention.

    This paper discusses the indication of travertine deposition rate to climate through an investigation on Huanglongs travertine shoal, which provides a theoretical basis for reconstructing Huanglongs ancient climate by using its ancient travertine. Based on water and travertine samples and deposition rate, this paper studies the deposition rate changes over time and its mechanism. The major factors for travertine deposition rate is largely controlled by waterfall, also influenced by groundwater and slope. During dry season, it is controlled by water temperature. A linear relation is shown between seasonal changes of travertine deposition rate and climate (waterfall and water temperature) that waterfall prevails during rainy season and water temperature during dry season.

    A study on correlation between environmental pollution and economic growth is of references for regional sustainable development. This paper, based on a case study on Henan province, uses its 19852012 information, uses BP neutral network that has been optimized by genetic algorithm to measure Henans overall pollution level, and to analyze its dynamic with economic growth. During 1985 to 2012, Henans pollution index displays a rising trend, responded by a cointegration with economic growth, and of a Granger causality. 1 unit of economic growth will increase 0842 3 unit in pollution level. A bidirectional mechanism exists in Henans environmental pollution and economic growth through impulse response function and variance decomposition, the influence of economy to pollution is bigger than the impact of pollution to economy.

    Based on a comparison in measurements of structural isomorphism of modern industry, such as structural similarity coefficient, structural variance index, structural superposition index, measurement of industry structural isomorphism can be carried out from similarity and variance, nondirectionally. This paper applies industry entropy index and industry relative entropy index to measure the industry structural isomorphism among regions, which have been validated in their feasibility via a case study on the North Bay urban group during 2000 to 2010.

    This paper, based on expanded Feder model, studies Guangxi's industrial structure transformation and economic growth. Their relation shows that marginal productivity of industrial elements is higher than that of agriculture and services, which proves the necessity of advancing industrialization and also a requirement of Guangxi's constructing modern industrial system. The services are positive to the agriculture and industry, so the agriculture does to the industry. Industrial structure transformation is a drive to Guangxi's economy. Guanxi's irrational industrial structure needs modifying to promote its economy through advancing the modern agriculture, constructing the modern industrial system, expediting the modern services and enhancing the scientific research and technology.

    China's energy is confronting challenges in a changeable world energy market and complicated situation. This paper aims at approaches to the constraints of energy industry's financing. Based on the Shenzhen and Shanghai's Stock Market's listed A energy companies in 2008—2012, this paper establishes investmentcash sensitivity model and cashcash sensitivity model, applies OLS to analyzes the mechanism of financial development to energy industry's financing, and shows an outstanding financing constraint in China's energy industry, which can be effectively resolved by financial development. In the areas where has a developed and higher marketing, financing constraints become less, so does when currency is largely issued. A change of the macroscopic financial environment could mitigate the constraints more than regional difference.

    This paper details the advances and technical category of UCG, and analyzes comprehensively the UCG industry. Compared with the traditional coal mining, UCG possesses outstanding advantages in environmental protection, coal utilization efficiency, and economy and safety, but disadvantageous in difficultlycontrolled gasification, underground water pollution, unstable gas components and heat values. In general, UCG is of prospects, economic and environmental profits in application, it is an effective way to ensure China's energy security and environmental protection.
