This paper, based on the development strategy of Yangtze River economic zone, studies its coupling coordination between urbanization and water resources from 2006 to 2015 from temporal and spatial perspectives by setting up a comprehensive evaluation index system via entropy method and a coupling coordination model updated by TOPSIS. The result shows an escalating urbanization development and water resources use level, and thus a rising coupling coordination. The coordination degree has an outstanding locality concentration in the eleven provinces along the Yangtze River, high in the east and low in the central. This paper presents suggestions on boosting urbanization development in the western regions, increasing water resources comprehensive use and driving coordinated development of economy and eco-environmental protection in Yangtze River economic zone.

Regional syndicated emission reduction is a vital step to realize the regional emission reduction target. This paper establishes the evaluation index system of regional syndicated emission reduction from three dimensions, relative advantage, connection and diligence of regional syndicated emission reduction. Haken model is employed to set up regional syndicated emission reduction evolution function with its evolutional mechanism analyzed and China's provincial syndicated emission reduction level from 2008 to 2017 measured. This paper also applies Kernel density to estimate its dynamic evolution. Regional emission reduction connection is an order parameter, leading the evolutional process, and promoting the systematic development of China's provincial syndicated emission reduction together with relative advantage of regional syndicated emission reduction. China's provincial syndicated emission reduction level diminishes westward, and is at the preliminary stage. A typical regional variance in China's provincial syndicated emission reduction level, rising with multiple differentiation in the east, rising-descending-rising in the center and rising in the west.

This paper, based on a case study on Shanxi-Shaanxi-Inner Mongolia (JSM) energy concentrating area, establishes an input output model which is used to study its hidden carbon emission transfer in their trading, calculates their carbon emission transfer volume in each province to other regions and their mutual transfer volume, aiming at offering reference for clarifying responsibilities in carbon emission reduction. The transferred carbon dioxide volume from other regions to JSM is higher than that from JSM to other regions, meaning JSM partially bears carbon emission pressure from other regions, mostly concentrating on coal mining and beneficiation, petroleum, coking and nuclear fuel processing. Inside JSM, their transferred volumes relatively close. JSM provides large quantity of high-energy-consuming and high-carbon-emission products to other regions by means of its abundant energy resources, and can provide energy consumption for itself, only needing a few from outside to satisfy the diversity. This paper suggests making regional collaborative emission reduction policy and taking reasonable responsibilities in order to promote low carbon development.

In order to study whether industrial structure upgrade improves the environmental pollution in the east coastal area or not, this paper selects the panel data of China's east coastal area and uses entropy to set up comprehensive evaluation index of environmental pollution, which is applied to study the relation between environmental pollution and industrial structure upgrade via Kuznets curve model. Results show that Shanghai, Tianjin and Hainan have a severe environmental pollution, which need improving. It shows a reverse U shape between environmental pollution and industrial structure upgrade in China's east coast. Currently it is positioning in the right portion, which indicates environment will be improved as industrial structures upgrade. Technical advances and foreign investment are influencing negatively on environment, but positively on foreign trade. This paper presents suggestions that the east coast make appropriate environmental policies, upgrade industrial structure to improve environment, intensify technical innovation, use foreign capital in a better manner and optimize trading structure.

This paper establishes an evaluation index system for resources-exhausted cities in China, which is used to score their transformation performances, applies hierarchical linear regression to study the internal drives and external factors. Operating environment is one key factor. Marketization level and capital investment impose a notable influence, but the third industry plays a negative role in urban transformation in the short term, positive in the long term. Influencing factors vary with regions and resources types. Resources-exhausted cities should plan their future developing paths according to their localities and predominance to avoid convergence.

Accuracy of coal bed methane (CBM) concentration tests is closely related to CBM resources evaluation and development. This paper studies the influence of error between desorption gas temperature and atmospheric temperature on the test results, and temperature change on the dead volume of desorption tank. If atmospheric temperature is regarded as temperature of desorption gas in container, some error will be bound during testing CBM concentration. The test result will be larger when desorption gas temperature is higher than atmospheric temperature in a swelling state, vice verse. The larger the temperature difference is, the larger the error will be. If the desorption gas temperature changes largely, this should be considered to estimate this influence on CBM concentration tests. Test result will be larger if desorption gas temperature rises, smaller if decreases. Testing error positively rises with desorption gas temperature changes.

This paper uses locality Gini coefficient, locality entropy, standard difference ellipsoid model to analyze the spatial pattern and its evolution of non-agricultural industries based on the second & third industries data of 13 prefectures in Jiangsu province. The results show that the second & third industries are unevenly distributed with a high concentration in Suzhou, Wuxi and Nanjing. The second industry has a more homogenous distribution than the third industry in Jiangsu province with their descending locality Gini coefficients. The specialization level of the second & third industries in south and central Jiangsu is much higher than that in north Jiangsu. The spatial pattern of the two industries is relatively stable in recent decade. This paper presents suggests that north Jiangsu foster specialized industries to form a stable industrial cluster, central Jiangsu integrate into Yangtze River Delta industry zone so as to boost its manufacturing, south Jiangsu, as the developed area in Jiangsu province or even in China, set up specialized incubators to form industrial cluster with global competitiveness.

This paper, based on environmental Kuznets hypothesis, uses China's provincial panel data from 2001 to 2014 to establish panel smooth transition regression model, which is used to analyze the non-linear influence of industrial structure, financial development and urbanization level on eco-environmental pollution, and to discuss how to push green urbanization under variable regional industrial structures. Urbanization level rises by 1%, the environmental pressure falls by 0.548 6% at a lower industrialization, implying that urbanization may effectively suppress eco-environmental pollution. As industrialization level develops, urbanization level rises by 1%, the environmental pressure increases by 1.383 2%. Financial development, industrialization, and research and development input and energy consumption increment will worsen environmental pollution, which can be predominantly decreased by raising human capital. This paper verifies of the model stability.

Panzhihua city is a typical mountain resources city. This paper selects its panel data of urban land use and social-economy from 1986 to 2016 and uses expansion index, shape index, integration, spatial efficiency based on ArcGIS and SPSS to study the evolution process of industrial spatial expansion and urban spatial morphology during Panzhihua's overall constructing period and coordinated developing period, clarifies its temporal features and explores the correlation mechanism between industrial spatial expansion and urban spatial morphology, offering theoretical supports for Panzhihua's urban transformation. Panzhihua's industrial expansion and urban morphology show the similar developing stages. Industrial structural adjustment directly drives urban spatial evolution, and industrial'spatial expansion leads to evolution in urban spatial structure from sole center to multiple centers. Industrial clustering development increases the intensive use of urban spatial structure. This paper presents suggestions for Panzhihua on optimizing industrial carrying space to form intensive and mountain-water ecological urban space use mode, boosting industrial cluster to increase urban concentrating capacity and spatial efficiency, adjusting industrial structure to help form the urban spatial framework of multi-centers and network.

No empirical methods have been used to study water right price influencing factors and mechanism. This paper uses regression model and adjustment effect graph to empirically study water right price influencing factors based on national trading platform data, providing references for regularizing water right pricing mechanism and optimizing water right trading mechanism. The lower the GDP of the receiver is and the lower annual water fall is, the shorter the trading period is. The higher the water right market maturity and the average profit rate of trading owners industry are, the higher the water right price is. The mechanism of trading period limit on water right trading price is subject to annual water fall and water right market maturity, positively if annual water fall is high, and vice versa. Water right market maturity also impacts the function of annual water fall.

Research of ecological risks of land is becoming more popular recently. In order to study the research advances in ecological risks of land use, this paper, based on references, studies the research advances from study areas distribution, data collection and processing, land use analysis methods, ecological risks analysis theory and methods. Study areas are widely spreading with diversified sampling, of which the central and western China hold the majority, indicating the underdeveloped western China attracts more attention. “3S” technology provides lots of data. Descriptive analysis prevails, with fewer modeling. Calculation of ecological risks is based on internationally traditional ecological risk evaluation theory and scenic ecology. ERI can be used for a further temporal-spatial analysis of ecological risks and prevails. Studies on underdeveloped area are quite limited, this paper suggests boosting research in western. Quantitative study can reflect the ecological risk status of land use to some extent, but it needs more input in studying its complicated driving forces. Uncertainty analysis is suggested to be used to minimize the researchers subjective experiences in ecological risks evaluation.
