Since 1990s, the world has witnessed a rapid economic growth in India, whose service industry, especially the IT industry goes as leading industries, but China's economy is still in the form of industrialization. Can India, as of a big population, poor in infrastructures, unbalanced economy, polarization, and short in energy, go fast with economy leaping over industrialization? India's economic development and energy consumption is becoming an important factor for global economy and energy. This paper analyzes the relation between energy consumption and economic development in India, studies its energy demands, predicts it energy demands in 15 years, attempting to clarify India's economic growth trend from the energy.
