This paper, based on the statistical data of global carbon dioxide emission, estimates the total amount, accumulative amount, per capita amount of carbon emission, and predicts the future carbon emission. Carbon emission is an aftermath of global industrialization. Human being are responsible for reducing carbon emission.
The plan for climate changes shall abide by a principle of "common but with difference in responsibility". The developed countries have a big responsibility in carbon emission since the industrial revolution. The developing countries are responsible for reducing carbon emission though they were late for industrialization. Besides increasing energy efficiency, other renewable energies, lowcarbon technologies, a global specific policy shall be established with a clear and measurable goal to stabilize global atmospheric carbon emissions.

Diatomite as a kind of biogenic siliceous sedimentary rock is widely distributed in the world, but less with high economic values. China, abundant in diatomite resource, is one of major diatomite producers. In diatomite product structures, however, China has a big gap. As power saving and environment requires, China's diatomite product structures will be largely improved. The dominant developing trends for the diatomite industry include top-quality diatomite filtration, functional fillings and compound materials, insulation materials, water treatment agents and absorbent, and purification materials. China's diatomite industry must focus on extensive utilization, renovation and industrial platform construction.

The global mining market now is in a downturn as the global financial crisis happens. It is a good opportunity for Chinese companies to go abroad to acquire foreign mining companies and to control the resources. The mining industry as a upstream industry is subject to the acquisition. Some Chinese geological units have invested overseas, and some are on the way. However, there are many factors which the geological units must bear in mind. This paper presents six principles for Chinese geological units during overseas exploration.

Henan Found Mining Ltd., a JV with foreign investors, uses the foreign capital and technology to explore and mine the Shagou Ag-Pb-Zn deposit in Luoning county, Henan province, with a whole process of exploration, mining and processing. The Shagou Ag-Pb-Zn deposit is a veinlet deposit, dipping gently. The company has made a good profit, becoming an model in cooperation with foreign investors. This paper gives an introduction to the development process and achievements of the Found Mining Ltd., and presents some experience to maximize the capital, to use the foreign management and technology and China's low-cost human resources. Both sides have complementarity in cooperation, like China partner has exploration license, and the foreign partner has financial capacity and advanced technology, ensuring a sustainable development of resources.

The global oil price changes dramatically and the economy gets into downturn. China has accumulated 1.9 trillion USD as foreign exchange reserve after thirty-year's reform. It is a key point to face the crisis to have a stable energy strategy. China will be in an advantageous position in the world and will become an important player in the global economy. In the future thirty years, China will enter into industrialization age and welfare society, which necessitates a stable, economical, clean, reliable and safe energy strategy. The sustainable development, however, requires a less dependence on the energy.

Based on geoheritages in Chifeng, this paper analyzes their geological setting, and classifies them into nine types such as geological terrain type, paleontologic type and water type, etc. There are 41 representative geoheritages which have been ranked by their values. The spatial distribution layouts have two grade I regions, south and north of Xar Moron river, and many sub-regions. This paper assesses comprehensively scientific values of paleontology and structures, the aesthetic values of geological terrains, health care of waters, and economic values of minerals in there areas.

This paper, based on a case study on geoheritage resources in Mentougou area, applies the fuzz evaluation method to establish a multi-factor and grading comprehensive evaluation model. Through giving weight to each factor, authors evaluate the protection and utilization of each geoheritage point and conclude that the protection just reaches the lowest limit but the utilization needs intensifying.

According to the land utilization status, adaptability, direction, similarity and variance, this paper, aiming at the sustainable development of the economy and society in Liaoning province, carries out a cluster analysis among 23 indexes in four types which can reflect the society, economy, land and environment, and regionalizes the land utilization in Liaoning province. Four regions are classified, forest-stock farming ecological development area, east Liaoning peninsular economic development area, central urban comprehensive development area, and west Liaoning eco-environmental protection area. This paper presents the utilization direction for these four types of areas, providing a reference for the sustainable development of economy and society in Liaoning province.

The agricultural land lease transfer types have two, including transfer among family agricultural land lease, and transfer between family agricultural land lease and other lease. The family lease transfer has five forms, including subcontract, lease, swap, sales and joint ventures.

This paper, aiming at the dangerous aspects and potential accidents in coal-bed methane drilling projects, establishes a risk assessment system. The FAHP has been applied to assess the risks in coal-bed methane drilling project. The risk index system is defined through drilling projects, and assigned with weights by means of AHP. The risks are classified as key risks and common risks via the ABC classification method in economics. This method has been used to calculate the risk value in Sihe coal-bed methane drilling project, Jincheng, Shanxi province. The value is 4.1, meaning of big risk.

Different cities with different functions play a variable role in regional development. This paper applies the nodal analysis to estimate the functional intensity of each central city in Anhui, concludes that Hefei and Wuhu rank the core position in economic development. Two cities are compared in their industries in order to judge their urban functions. Hefei city is relatively full-scale with advantages in the third industry, where is the economic center in Anhui, while Wuhu city has a single urban function with advantages in its manufacturing, where is one of major industrial centers. This paper presents some suggestions improving the urban functions and playing the leading role for the two cities

According to David Legato's comparative advantage theory, all developing countries with advantageous resources have not reached sustainable development and economic growth through exporting resources, implying that the static comparative advantage theory has deficiencies. This paper, based on a revised comparative advantage theory, establishes a dynamic comparative advantage model, analyzes the trading welfare under free trading conditions, draws a conclusion that the free trading conditions will definitely decrease the welfare, and presents some suggestions how to make policies for China's resource industry via a dynamic comparative advantage theory.

Jadeitite is a kind of jadeite aggregates. The primary jadeitite deposits were formed during the collision between Indian plate and Eursian plate. The ultrabasic rocks intruded as dikes along faults, and underwent low-grade metamorphism under a compresso-shear stress. The deposits occur as veins in the serpentinized peridotite. The formation of jadeite has no genesis with ultrabasic rocks, only coexisting in location. The post-mineralization preservation plays a vital role in the values. Good quality jadeitites are always located at the upper to top of ultrabasic rocks, and also are found in alluvium by erosion. This paper discusses the depreciation-proof nature of jadeitite under the global financial crisis.

The bauxite deposits in Henan province features multi-origins, multi-forms and multi-facies. The bauxite deposits are complicated in modalities, making difficult in study and mining. There are some issues, short in shallow reserve, lacks in deep exploration, environmental pollution, resources wasted, deficient in study on coexisting elements, and low utilization extent. According to national policies, this paper suggests enhancing the geological study, improving comprehensive utilization of coexisting elements, applying deep exploration, optimizing bauxite resources allocation, and developing extensively alumina manufacturing.

Tudaban Pb-Zn deposit is located in the transition between Qilian orogen and Dunhuang block, and hosted at the 2nd member of the 2nd formation, Archean-Proterozoic Dunhuang group. The structure and strata are two key factors in the formation of deposit. The EW-orientated fault zone is a major control of mineralization. Pb's concentration is closely related to Dunhuang group, Zn also has been overlapped by post granite hydrotherm. The import ore-finding indexes include the 2nd member of the 2nd formation, Dunhuang group, altered fracture zone, yellow jarosite zone on surface and gossan.

Bauxite deposits have been recently discovered in south-western Tianshan, such as Beishan bauxite deposit in Wushi county, Qiaokemoke bauxite deposit in Wuqia county. The discovery not only is helpful to resolve the uneven distribution of mineral resources, and but also stimulate the electrolysis aluminum industry based on the sufficient local coal and power. This paper summarizes the metallogenetic system of bauxite deposits and mineralization conditions, presents that bauxite deposits can be formed, regardless of rock types, under a favorable environment. The paleogeography plays a key role in the formation of bauxite deposits. The bauxite deposits in the southwestern Tianshan are the Carboniferous clastic sedimentary deposits on the paleo-weathered crust.

China has formed a land survey flow that is based on land classification has the core of internal judgement and external investigation, which efficiently guided the land survey work in China. As economy goes on, however, a higher precision is required for land survey so that the traditional method can not meet the needs. This paper, based on the cores of land survey system, optimizes the land classification system, establishes a quantifying and standardization relation between land attributes and land utilization, which reverts the land survey process to land attributes survey and record process, and presents some suggestions improving the existing land survey system.

This paper gives an introduction to the tourism in Dongjiang lake resort, makes a survey on residents' perceptions in lives quality, psychological status and environmental quality, and their attitude towards tourism development, with the results indicating that the tourism in Dongjiang lake resort is still in the developing stage, and that the residents in local community have a positive recognition to tourism more than negative, displaying a support to develop the tourism. This paper presents a suggestion enhancing communication with residents, establishing community involvement, regulating the tourists' behaviors to make sure a sustainable development.

The groundwater source heat pump system is one of the main ways of shallow geothermal resources development. This paper gives an introduction to HST3D code, which is widely used in China to simulate heat mobilization, and analyzes its advantages and disadvantages. Meanwhile, this paper discusses the application of HST3D code in heat mobilization simulation based on case study on underground water source pump engineering at Zhengzhou Children Hospital. This simulation analyzes the temperature changes in two wells in 8 years, of which the temperature increases no more than 1 Celsius degrees at No.3 well where is near the injection wells, and no more than 0.5 Celsius degree at No.6 well where is relatively far from the injection wells, consistent with real water temperature changes.
